These products are likely to be classified as "Manufactured Products" under BABA regulations (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 2, Part 184) and in alignment with NEMA 70901-2024: Compliance with Domestic Preference Requirements. Companies should first refer to the definitions of iron and steel product, manufactured product, and construction material in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 2, Part 184 to determine the classification of products. The specification is intended to identify the elements of a successful process to assess and apply the Buy America Preference requirements imposed on a company’s Grid Management & Automation products under the BABA Act. This specification facilitates the evaluation and application of a successful Supply Chain Evaluation and Assurance Program for supply chain evaluation and verification specific to Grid Operational Technology.
