Constructing Your Success Story
Success stories serve as vehicles for engaging decision-makers to drive action. They appreciate facts, and success stories are often the most compelling means to convey them. Let us help you construct your success story while supporting NEMA's advocacy efforts on outdoor LED applications.
Below is a series of questions to help you educate on and promote your product, as well as sell your story. We encourage you to respond to these questions in writing to Craig Updyke of NEMA Government Relations. If you would like to respond, but not in writing, contact Joseph to arrange a conversation.
We want to hear what our Members have to say and help them package that into a story that will help educate decision-makers. With your permission, we may then use your input to construct either a written narrative or anonymized talking points that NEMA Government Relations may use in its advocacy efforts.
Any responses to these questions or other company information will be kept private until NEMA has received specific authorization from you or your company to disseminate these stories:
- How has a city benefited since implementing outdoor LEDs? What role have LEDs played in revitalizing urban areas?
- Location
- Cost savings
- Restoration of abandoned buildings
- How much energy was saved with LEDs?
- Since the installation of your products, has it contributed to the city's economic growth? Population and jobs?
- Since the installation of outdoor LEDs, has there been a reduction in violence and crime in that location?
- How does AMA's guidance report harm your company?
- In what ways have LED technology illuminated cities with minimal impact on wildlife and residents?
We may use your story in various ways. You set the level of exposure. Here are some examples:
- Meet face-to-face advocacy with the Administration and Congress
- Blog your story. This may be on your company's website, or with your permission, NEMA can post it on NEMA Currents, the blog of the electroindustry
- Sound off on social media
- Publish a case study or personal narrative in the NEMA electroindustry magazine
- Record a case study or personal narrative as a podcast
If you would like more information, contact Joseph Eaves to arrange a conversation.
