One barrier to U.S. participation in international standards affecting advanced manufacturing is the significant cost of travel associated with participation in international Standards development meetings. NEMA will leverage MDCP funds to provide reimbursement to participants according to the following schedule:

• Reimbursement registration fees for participating companies to attend domestic and international trade shows (e.g., Fabtech, Hannover Messe, WIN Automation (Turkey), India Manufacturing Technology Show (India), Industrial Automation and Logistics (Indonesia)). The shows attended will be determined using input from Industry, NEMA Staff, ITA and other agencies.
• Travel reimbursement for new participants on select IEC and ISO technical committees; limit of one refund per new person identified (i.e., one company can claim multiple times if they identify different staff to participate in eligible committees). 
• NEMA Market Development Coordinator Program Grant Success Agreement
