The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) is a standards development organization and industry trade association that represents over 350 electrical equipment manufacturers. Among other value streams, NEMA offers a convening platform
to facilitate the development of standards and other technical documents, education and training for end-users, and industry statistical analysis. A subset of NEMA members (~60) manufacture power grid technologies including energy storage, distribution
automation, microgrids and power electronics. NEMA members that provide these technologies are interested in hosting one or more one-day workshops with representatives of investor-owned, municipal and co-operative utilities.
The purpose of the workshops would be to foster dialogue between technology providers and technology users to identify further resources that NEMA can develop to help address end-user challenges related to technology sourcing, installation, maintenance,
operation and/or security, as applicable. Specific themes would include: interconnection, interoperability, workforce development and cybersecurity.
A tentative agenda for each workshop would be as follows:
- 8:30am – breakfast provided
- 9:00 – 12:00pm – program and discussion
- 12:30 – 1:00pm – lunch provided
- 1:00pm – 3:00pm – program and discussion
- 3:00pm – Adjourn
Registration would be complimentary for SEPA members.
