Conduit Fittings
Conduit fittings connect conduit to other conduit or
to an electrical box. They are available in various metals and with
different levels of moisture protection.
Products include cast
outlet boxes, conduit fittings, and cable sealing fittings for hazardous
(classified) locations. NEMA covers fittings and accessories for use
with:
- Armored and metal-clad cables
- Conduit hangers, straps, and hardware
- Electrical metallic tubing
- Fittings for ordinary and hazardous locations
- Flexible, intermediate, and rigid metallic conduit
- Liquidtight flexible metallic and nonmetallic conduit
- Nonmetallic-sheathed cables
NEMA Members develop public inputs for the National Electrical Code® (NEC)
as well as other local, national, and international codes. Hazardous
location boxes and fittings are addressed by a standalone subcommittee,
which develops guidelines and a training module.
