X-Ray Imaging Products
X-ray technology is the oldest
and most commonly used form of medical imaging. It uses ionizing
radiation to produce images of a person’s internal structure by sending
beams through the body, which are absorbed in different amounts
depending on the density of the material.
X-ray
devices are used for mammography, interventional radiology, computed
radiography, digital radiography, and computed tomography (CT).
Radiation therapy utilizes x-rays, gamma rays, electron beams, or
protons to treat cancer.
The technology is typically used to evaluate:
- Blood vessels
- Breast (mammography)
- Broken bones
- Cavities
- Lungs
- Swallowed objects
MITA
is dedicated to the advancement of medical science, the improvement of
patient care, and, in particular, the contributions that high quality,
innovative medical imaging technologies make toward achieving these
goals.
