Robroy-Enclosures.jpgRobroy Enclosures is a long-standing supportive member in the local Belding community especially in area of education. In 2005, the SHIELD council started a scholarship program recognizing a student in the Belding graduating class.

The team always looks for individuals who have excelled in all areas of life; especially those who are driven to succeed in service and support to those around them by representing core values we employ every day.

To narrow down the available candidates for the scholarship, each applicant is asked to write a short essay on a topical subject, typically related to the safety and well being of our fellow associates. This year, they were asked to write on the dangers and safety needs of using compressed air. Many students submitted essays and they all did a fantastic job.

Yet, Jason Straubel stood out from the rest, because he is always aware of others. As one of his recommenders notes: "He is goal oriented and determined to help others in any way possible, I admire Jason for his work ethic, especially in times of adversity."

Another recommender noted: "I find Jason to be one of the most genuine, honest, and selfless students in our school."

Jason is in pursuit of further education in dual enrolments at Montcalm Community College and Michigan State University. Robroy Enclosures wishes him the best in all of his future endeavors.
