Electroindustry supports pro-growth agenda to move America forward
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) today published an open letter to urge the candidates for President and the 117th Congress to focus on a pro-growth agenda that moves America forward by embracing five key priorities: moving beyond narrow product efficiency, grid modernization, trade, job creation, and medical imaging.
These priorities will be integral to expand the economy, enhance employment, improve healthcare, and ensure access to safe and reliable electricity—all while moving in responsible ways to enhance human health and protect the environment.
“On behalf of electrical and medical imaging manufacturers, innovators, and job creators, we believe that any successful body of work in the coming years will require year-by-year improvement of emissions reductions, a modernized and secure grid, reasonable data-driven regulations, a future-focused workforce, and increased access to medical imaging technologies,” said NEMA President and CEO Kevin J. Cosgriff. “The U.S. economy is resilient, but improved and sustainable growth will require government and business to work together. We urge all elected officials and those they appoint to embrace pro-growth policies based on our outlined agenda as part of your work.”
