September 9 North Dakota

State of North Dakota

The North Dakota State Electrical Board (NDSEB) has announced a public hearing to update the ND Wiring Standards which references the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC). The hearing is scheduled for November 14, 2013 at 1:15pm at the State Capital building in Bismarck, in the Red River Room.

With the state’s gas and oil industry boom, it has made ND one of the fastest growing economies in the country. This adoption of the 2014 NEC includes improved installation safety practices and will provide homes, schools and businesses in ND more options that could reduce the costs both to the installer as well as the consumer. This adoption will also help foster the use of new technologies that will enhance energy efficiency for new buildings which will drive local economies throughout the state.

North Dakota Electrical Board should be applauded for their commitment towards electrical safety as it pushes forward to ensure public safety in all structures throughout the state.
