The Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) has filed eight Notices of Rulemaking Intent (NRI's) to adopt the 2018 editions of the International Building Code, International Existing Building Code, International Fire Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Mechanical Code, and International Plumbing Code; to adopt the 2017 National Electrical Code; and to modify language in the 2015 edition of the International Residential Code. 

The eight NRI's will be published in the Oklahoma Register on February 3, 2020. A public comment period will begin on February 4, 2020 and end on March 6, 2020. Comments may be submitted in writing or given orally during regular business hours (8:00-4:30, M-F). A public hearing has been scheduled for March 17, 2020 at 1:30 PM. The public hearing will be held at the Construction Industries Board/OUBCC Conference Room at 2401 NW 23rd Street, Suite 2F in Oklahoma City, OK 73107.
