The Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) has completed the rulemaking process to adopt the 2015 Edition of the International Residential Code®.  The updated rule was approved by a declaration issued by Governor Mary Fallin on June 9, 2016.  The updated residential code will go into effect on November 1, 2016. The final rule, including state amendments, can be reviewed here.

The OUBCC has also created new rules to support the legislative mandate to provide continuing education to inspectors throughout the State of Oklahoma.  The new rule can be found in Title 748 – Uniform Building Code Commission, Chapter 17 – Education and Training. The final approved rule can be reviewed here and also goes into effect on November 1, 2016.
