The Alaska Department of Public Safety has announced proposed regulation changes in Title 13 of the Alaska Administrative Code. These proposed changes include adoption of and amendments to the 2012 Building, Fire and Mechanical Codes, including requirements for smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, fire alarm systems and other related life safety systems.
Comments to the proposed regulation changes can be made by submitting written comments to the Division of Fire and Life Safety at 5700 East Tudor Road, Anchorage, AK 99507. Comments can also be submitted by facsimile at (907) 338-4375 or by email to Lloyd Nakano, Assistant State Fire Marshal at email@example.com. Comments must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on July 29, 2016.
