The Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 216 of the Arkansas Department of Labor, 10421 West Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. The public hearing will be conducted for the purpose of accepting public comment on a proposed amendment to the rules of the Board of Electrical Examiners. The proposed amendment would adopt the 2017 National Electrical Code, with the exception that arc fault circuit interrupters will not be required in residential kitchens and laundry rooms.

Written comment will be accepted through 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 by the Arkansas Department of Labor at the above address. A copy of the proposed rule may be obtained by calling the Board of Electrical Examiners at (501) 682-4549. A copy of proposed rule can also be accessed on the Department of Labor's website or the Secretary of State's website.
