The member companies and staff of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) welcomes the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Penny Pritzker as the new Secretary of Commerce.
According to NEMA President and CEO Evan R. Gaddis, since its formation in 1913, the Commerce Department’s economic vision, as well as its role in standards-setting, makes this a very important post to NEMA and electrical manufacturers.
“We look forward to working with Ms. Pritzker as she helps to shape the future of our industry,” he said.
NEMA is the association of electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers, founded in 1926 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Its member companies manufacture a diverse set of products including power transmission and distribution equipment, lighting systems, factory automation and control systems, and medical diagnostic imaging systems. Worldwide annual sales of NEMA-scope products exceed $120 billion.
