6/7/2013 12:00 PM

CMC posted on its website the following letter to its customers describing the company's acquisition by Burndy LLC and Burndy Canada, Inc.:

Dear Customer,

I am pleased to announce that Burndy LLC and Burndy Canada Inc., affiliates of Hubbell Incorporated (Hubbell), have acquired Connector Manufacturing Company (CMC) and Canadian Connector Corporation (CCC) respectively, and their Barfield products brand.

Hubbell, celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, is a leading manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products serving a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications. CMC and CCC will be subsidiaries of Burndy LLC and Burndy Canada Inc., and part of the Hubbell Connectors, Grounding and Tooling Group (HCGT). BURNDY is a leading manufacturer of electrical connector solutions and application tooling, and operates within the Hubbell Electrical Systems platform. With an expanded base of mechanical connectors and the addition of pole line hardware and cabinets, the HCGT Group plans to strengthen its position in providing the most comprehensive set of connection solutions available in the market today.

We at CMC are very happy and excited to become a part of the Hubbell organization. We have joined a company that is a market leader with strong financial performance and shares our values for superior customer service and investment in leading product technology and innovation.

For you, our valued Customer, the change will be virtually seamless. CMC sales, service, support contacts and processes remain unchanged so you can use the same communication channels and methods you currently use.

We will continue working hard to earn your business and want to thank you for your loyalty and support.

Sincerely,

Nick Moraitis
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
