NEMA Annual Meeting
At the Interim NEMA Board of Governors meeting in early May, the Board decided to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, due to health and travel concerns related to COVID-19. This was not an easy decision, but the health and safety of attendees and continuing travel uncertainty made a face-to-face meeting unwise.
The NEMA Board of Governors will instead meet virtually on November 11. The meeting will be followed by a Members e-ballot to elect 2021 NEMA officers and approve the 2021 budget. We will also host the popular Industry Future Forum session for the Board and Member company CEOs in a virtual setting that day. More details on the process for the e-balloting and the Industry Future Forum will be forthcoming.
Because NEMA Annual Awards are presented at the Annual Meeting, the 2020 Awards Program has been cancelled as well. All received nominations for our annual Bernard H. Falk, Emerging Leader, Kite and Key, Illuminations, and Rontgen Awards will carry over to 2021.
