Solvent-Cementing Joints for PVC Rigid Nonmetallic Conduit, Duct and Fittings

Status: Active
NEMA PRP 2-2009   [DOWNLOAD]

Discusses solvent cements that contain chemicals that dissolve the PVC surface. Most forms of PVC conduit, duct and fittings are meant to be assembled or joined by means of solvent-cementing the integral bells or PVC couplings. As the chemicals evaporate, they leave behind a PVC resin that fuses the mating surfaces.
