This standard has been rescinded and is no longer for sale on the NEMA website.

Completely revises Part 5 and brings MG 1 into alignment with the IEC 60034-5 standard, and includes the revision of the application of v-belt sheaves to alternating current motors having antifriction bearings.

MG 1-2006 supersedes MG 1-2003, Revision 1-2004. It may be purchased at www.nema.org/stds/mg1.cfm.
