Iowa is in the process of adopting the 2005 NEC^®. A public hearing was scheduled for September 20, 2005, but the meeting has been canceled and the next scheduled meeting is October 18, 2005.

The following notice was issued by Commissioner Crine:

With the approval of Chairman Siders, the September 20, 2005 meeting of the Building Code Advisory Council will be canceled due to a lack of business to transact.  The next meeting will be held on October 18, 2005 and will include a Public Hearing on the Proposed Rules adopting a new building code.
