Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) has received its largest Scandinavian order from Finnish power supply company Fingrid. 07/30/07

Siemens Awarded Major Orders from Brazilian Industries
Siemens Power has been awarded two contracts from Brazilian companies Petrobras and Transportadora Gasene S.A. for a total of 17 compressor trains. 07/26/07

Siemens to Supply Southern Company’s Energy Management System
Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution, Inc. announced that Southern Company has selected its Spectrum Power™ 3 energy management system (EMS) to monitor, control, and optimize the reliability of its transmission system. 07/25/07

Johnson Controls to Partner with Fengfan Ltd. in China Automotive Battery Market
Johnson Controls, Inc. has announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Fengfan Ltd. of Baoding, HeBei province to establish a joint venture agreement for the design, manufacture, sales, and service of maintenance-free lead acid batteries for the automotive market in China. 07/25/07

AREVA T&D to Power ALCAN’s New Plant in Canada
AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division has been awarded a turnkey contract to build an electricity supply system for ALCAN’s new AP50 plant located in Jonquière, Quebec. 07/24/07

Emerson Wins Contract to Digitally Automate Major BP Chemical Facility in China
Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson, has won a contract to digitally automate BP’s Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) plant expansion in Zhuhai, China. 07/20/07

GE Healthcare Closes $3.3 Million Deal with BioStorage Technologies
GE Healthcare Financial Services has provided a $3.3 million lease line of credit to BioStorage Technologies (BST). BST will use the loan to support its additional capital aquisitions. 07/18/07

L-3 Awarded $74.7 Million NAVSEA Support Contract
L-3 Communications has announced that its Government Services, Inc. (L-3 GSI) subsidiary has been awarded a five-year $74.7 million foreign military sales (FMS) contract by the Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) to provide support for the Program Executive Office (PEO), Ships' PMS 325F in the area of counter-narcotics and boat and crafts program requirements. 07/18/07

Siemens to Acquire Dade Behring
Siemens has signed a merger agreement with laboratory diagnostics company Dade Behring, Inc. The planned acquisition has a total transaction volume of approximately $7 billion dollars. 07/27/07

Acuity Brands Announces Acquisition of Mark Architectural Lighting
Acuity Brands, Inc. has announced its cash acquisition of substantially all of the assets and assumed certain liabilities of Mark Lighting Fixture Company, Inc. (also known as Mark Architectural Lighting). 07/20/07

Belden Sells Telecom Cable Operation in Czech Republic
Belden has announced that it has completed the sale of its copper telecommunications cable operation, Kabelovna Děčín Podmokly (KDP) in Děčín, Czech Republic, to Willms-Gruppe of Menden, Germany. 07/19/07

Dupont’s “Clear into the Future” Funds Graduate Students
