• Johnson Controls to Help Camco Reduce Energy Usage and Emissions
  Johnson Controls, Inc., was recently awarded a $2.1 million energy performance contract guaranteeing to reduce Camco, Inc.’s energy and operational expenditures over the next few years. 2/11/05
• ABB Wins Bid for Power Link between Estonia and Finland
  ABB has won the public procurement for a project to design, build, and install a new link connecting the power grids of Finland and Estonia. 2/8/05
• Daktronics Awarded Contract for Toronto Blue Jays Stadium
  Daktronics, Inc. announced it has been awarded a contract in excess of $4.5 million to design, manufacture, and install a unique integrated scoring and display system in Toronto's Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome), home of Major League Baseball's Toronto Blue Jays. 2/4/05

  Rayovac Corp. announced its acquisition of United Industries Corporation, a manufacturer and marketer of products for consumer lawn and garden care, household insect control markets, and a supplier of products to the pet supply industry. 2/10/05
• L-3 Communications Acquires CAE's Marine Controls Division
  L-3 Communications announced the acquisition of substantially all of the marine controls division of CAE. 2/9/05
• Merge eFilm Closes Acquisition of AccuImage Diagnostics Corp.
  Merge Technologies Incorporated, d.b.a. Merge eFilm, has announced the closing of the acquisition of AccuImage Diagnostics Corp., a leader in the development, marketing, and support of software for advanced visualization, analysis, and management of medical imaging data from medical imaging modalities. 2/1/05

• Alapont Named President and CEO of Federal-Mogul Corporation
  Federal-Mogul Corporation announced that José Maria Alapont has been named president and chief executive officer and will replace Robert S. (“Steve”) Miller, who is serving as interim chief executive officer. 2/8/05
• Eaton Corporation Elects Tsavalas Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
  Yannis P. Tsavalas has been elected vice president and chief technology officer of Eaton Corporation, effective February 14, 2005. 2/7/05

• NEMA's Industrial Control Business Indices Rise 10 Percent Over 2003 Despite Seasonal Slowdown
  NEMA's Primary Industrial Control Index slipped by nearly four percent in the fourth quarter largely due to a typical seasonal slowdown. In fact, compared to the same period in the previous year, the fourth quarter 2004 index gained almost 10 percent to 87.3 points. 2/4/05
• "Fear Factor" Viewers Warned Not to Challenge Electricity
  The Electrical Safety Foundation International has joined with many of North America’s top utility, safety and electrical industry organizations to caution viewers of NBC’s “Fear Factor” against attempting dangerous stunts involving electricity. 2/3/05
• NEMA's January EBCI Shows Growth
  For the first time since October 2004 in NEMA's Electroindustry Business Confidence Index, all four current conditions regional indices surpassed the growth threshold of 50 points. 1/31/05
