(ROSSLYN, Va.)—The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) have published National Transportation Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP)8007 v01 Testing and Conformity Assessment Documentation within NTCIP Standards Publications.

Since 1996, NEMA, AASHTO, and ITE have been jointly developing NTCIP, a family of communication protocols for traffic management devices.

NTCIP 8007 v01 defines requirements to be used by NTCIP working groups in producing test documentation as a part of the NTCIP standards process. It is intended to promote a consistent look and feel for testing documentation throughout various NTCIP standards.
