Federal Signal Corporation Appoints New Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer

Federal Signal Corporation announced the appointment of Paul Box, 52, to the position of vice president and chief procurement officer.

Box previously worked for Newell Rubbermaid, Inc., where he served as group vice president of procurement, and in the leadership role for their enterprise-wide global sourcing initiatives. Prior to this, Box served as director of corporate procurement for Compaq Computer Corporation. Previously, he served as manager of procurement for Motorola Corporation. He has held a variety of other procurement positions of increasing responsibility throughout his twenty-seven year career.

"Paul's extensive experience in improving purchasing effectiveness, implementing low-cost sourcing, and his passion for the procurement profession will help advance Federal Signal's global sourcing initiatives," said Robert D. Welding, president and chief executive officer. "Moreover, Paul's collaborative working style will help us leverage our company size while maintaining our decentralized entrepreneurial spirit."

Box holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Texas State University.
