REGAL-BELOIT Corporation has announced the promotion of Vivek Bhargava to the position of vice president of critical business processes from his current position as director of critical business processes.
Chief Executive Officer Henry W. Knueppel commented, “In his first year with REGAL-BELOIT, Vivek and his team have brought Lean Six Sigma to life across the company. Our Lean Six Sigma program is adding incredible value, driving better processes and improved performance in every area it touches.”
Knueppel also noted, “Our Lean Six Sigma team is significantly and positively impacting our future with the addition of new Six Sigma tools for design and new product introduction, and an in-depth approach to lean manufacturing.”
Bhargava has 15 years experience with General Electric where he served in several roles from research scientist to engineering manager and as Six Sigma quality leader. Prior to GE, he was part of the research faculty for six years at Vanderbilt University, Nashville. Bhargava has a B.S. in materials science from the Indian Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt, and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
