Energizer will employ its popular pink Energizer Bunny and its “Keep Going” message in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Energizer will make a minimum guaranteed donation of $350,000 to the Komen Foundation. Consumers will also have the opportunity to get a free Energizer Bunny pin with the purchase of any two Energizer products including batteries and flashlights. An additional $1.00 donation will be made by Energizer per valid pin redemption up to a maximum of $10,000. The pink pins include the Energizer Bunny, a breast cancer ribbon, and the inspiring words, "The Power to Keep Going."

Beginning October 1, Energizer will distribute specially marked packages nationwide urging consumers to support the Komen Foundation's mission to eradicate breast cancer. In addition, Energizer will sell specially designed, limited-edition pink AA and AAA Energizer MAX batteries exclusively at Target stores across the country.

" Energizer welcomes the opportunity to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer," said Jeff Ziminski, vice president of marketing, North America. "This program makes it easy for consumers to make a valuable contribution to breast cancer research whenever and wherever they shop."

Said Cindy Schneible, vice president of cause-related marketing and sponsorship at the Komen Foundation: "We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with Energizer to increase breast cancer awareness and allow consumers nationwide to make a valuable contribution to breast cancer research and community outreach programs."
