Seminar 1: “Blogging for CEOs: Getting Your Message Out Quickly and Effectively”
A discussion by Pat Cleary, Senior Vice President-Digital Public Relations at Fleishman-Hillard, about how public and media outreach is dramatically evolving in the age of blogging – and how business executives can take advantage of this new communications tool.
Seminar 2: “ The Changing Policy Climate:
How to Prepare for New Business Realities”Energy efficiency, climate change, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability are several of the driving policy issues that governments around the world are seeking to address. This panel discussion will look at opportunities and challenges at home and overseas, including new legislative and regulatory movements, that electrical product manufacturers might expect to see. Featuring some of the top experts in their field, including Christopher Flavin, President, WorldWatch Institute; William Kovacs, Vice President of Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and Adrian Harris, Secretary General, ORGALIME (the European Engineering Industries Association).

Seminar 1: “What’s Hot, What’s Not on Wall Street: Insight and Analysis for Investors”
Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc.'s Tom Robinson, President, and Christopher Glynn, Executive Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co, will provide expert guidance on investment trends and risk management. As Oppenheimer's chief strategist, Mr. Robinson will provide a broad view of the major sectors of the economy, identifying sectors with brightest and weakest prospects. Mr. Glynn, who covers the industrial multi-industry sector, will focus on factors affecting performance for electrical manufacturers.
Seminar 2: “Cook at Home Like an Executive Chef”
Learn how to cook like a pro in your own home by experiencing a workshop with Chef Brian Patterson. Chef Instructor Patterson is an instructor at the L'Academie de Cuisine's Culinary Arts Program teaching chefs how to prepare foods as well as teaching non-chefs at the recreational school. With 17 years of experience, Patterson will guide attendees through such topics as how professional chefs cook at home, knife skills, a professional omelet demonstration and of particular interest to NEMA members, using an induction cook top.
