In 1998, the NEMA Board of Governors established NEMA PAC for the express purpose of supporting individuals representing the pro-business public policy values of the Association and its members.

NEMA PAC is administered by the NEMA PAC Board of Governors, who determine which candidates to support based on the following criteria:

• the candidate must have developed pro-business agenda;  
• the candidate must be in a tight race, and must represent a constituency with a NEMA member presence. 

NEMA PAC collects and makes contributions or other expenditures for the purpose of furthering the candidacies of such persons, in accordance with the Federal Election Campaign Act and other applicable laws.
