Manufacturer Collection/Recycle

• The Department of Natural Resources shall conduct a study on and make recommendations for the implementation and financing of a convenient and effective mercury-containing lamp-recycling program.  The department shall submit a report containing the recommendations to the general assembly by January 1, 2009.
• Manufacturers must submit plan by October 1, 2008 describing a collection plan for mercury-added thermostats.  Plan must be approved by state agency and implemented beginning April 1, 2009.
