  • Thermometers and novelties (Note: 2002 Corrections Bill would exempt products whose only mercury is in a button cell),
  • Cars with mercury light switch
  • Mercury thermostats (as of January 1, 2006)
  • Mercury switches and relays (as of July 1, 2006) except for replacement in equipment already on market and for equipment refurbished for resale. NOTE: Manufacturer must notify state if it plans to sell replacement switches and refurbished equipment. Manufacturers also may apply for an exemption from sales ban on new products
