NEMA members in the Environment, Health & Safety Council have created several task groups to address specific EHS issues relevant to the electroindustry. Interested NEMA members may contact Richard H. LaLumondier about joining a task group or questions pertaining to the area.
Greenbuilding Task Group
The mission and scope of NEMA's Greenbuilding Task Group is to:
- Establish and manage a NEMA task force for addressing Green Building Issues as appropriate.
- Monitor and participate as necessary in federal and state programs and regulatory development.
- Monitor and participate in the activities of current and future voluntary organizations which address these “green building” issues.
- Participate in inter-association related activities such as the ACC Task Group on PVC, and
- Coordinate these activities with existing and future related efforts at NEMA as appropriate.

SF6 Task Group
The mission and scope of NEMA's SF6 Task Group is to address all EHS issues related to the use and regulation of SF6 and to develop and support a program to collect world-wide data on SF6. This Task Group is a totally self funded entity of NEMA.
