OSHA 300 Training

Implementation of the new requirements for reporting and recording occupational illness and injury will be required on January 1, 2002, but OSHA 200 logs are required to be used through December 31, 2001. Use the documents below to learn more about OSHA 300. 

 

Summary of Changes (50 kb) 

This document covers recording criteria, defining injury or illness, new recordkeeping forms, specific OSHA rules, employee privacy protection, how the revised standard affects industry, and recording and reporting occupational injuries and illnesses.

OSHA 1904 Training ( 927 kb) 

This covers each subpart of part 1904 of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 29 that requires recordkeeping and discusses the changes and additions to the old regulation. It can be used as a training aid for employees responsible for tracking injuries.

OSHA Instructional Booklet ( 1081 kb) 

This booklet is published by OSHA to help businesses comply with the recordkeeping requirements and contains step by step instructions on how to complete the forms. It also contains printable forms (14 x 8.5)

OSHA's Form 300: Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses ( 27 kb) 

This form, which can be downloaded and completed electronically, contains information relating to employee health and must be used in a manner that protects the confidentiality of employees to the extent possible while the information is being used for occupational safety and health purposes. 

OSHA's Form 300A: Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses ( 20 kb) 

All establishments covered by Part 1904 must complete this Summary page, even if no work-related injuries or illnesses occurred during the year. Remember to review the Log to verify that the entries are complete and accurate before completing this summary.  This form, which may be downloaded and completed electronically, may be used for data collection in NEMA's information-sharing program for occupational injuries and illnesses.
