December 2002
Confidence in business conditions remained below 50 for three of the four regions. For the third consecutive month Asia/Pacific was the only region to inspire broad confidence in current conditions. Conversely, considering business conditions six months out, the panel expressed confidence in all four regions. The breadth of confidence in future conditions expanded in three regions and nearly slipped over the line to pessimism for Latin America.  Full Report ( 47k)

November 2002
The Asia/Pacific region remains the only bright spot among the current conditions indexes, registering above 50 in November for the sixth consecutive month. The other three regions are languishing below that threshold level. Notably, the breadth of pessimism regarding North American conditions grew somewhat this month. On the bright side, optimism about business conditions six months out has taken hold in all regions with the stark exception of Europe, which has plunged far into the contradictory range after several months of positive expectations.
