Massachusetts Electrical Code 2011
The Massachusetts Board of Fire Prevention Regulations (BFPR) recently called for proposals to the 2011 Massachusetts Electrical Code (MEC). The 2008 MEC is comprised of the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) with 71 amendments and ten administrative rules. The BFPR is the promulgating authority for the MEC and has appointed the Massachusetts Electrical Code Advisory Committee (MECAC) to solicit proposals and to review the 2011 NEC Report on Proposals (ROP) and 2011 NEC Report on Comments (ROC). After MECAC has completed their review they will make recommendations to BFPR regarding possible amendments to the 2011 NEC.

All proposals must be received by the Massachusetts Electrical Code Advisory Committee by 5 P.M., EST, Friday, May 7, 2010, to be certain of consideration for the 2011 Massachusetts Electrical Code.
