NEMA Welcomes Moniz as Secretary of Energy

The staff and member companies of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) extend their congratulations to Ernest Moniz who was confirmed as the country’s thirteenth Secretary of Energy today.

“Secretary Moniz brings great insight and a rich history with the industry to this position,” said NEMA President and CEO Evan R. Gaddis. “We look forward to working with him and advancing the national effort in Smart Grid, energy efficiency, high-performance buildings, and the myriad of other issues that are important to the NEMA member companies.”

NEMA is the association of electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers, founded in 1926 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Its member companies manufacture a diverse set of products including power transmission and distribution equipment, lighting systems, factory automation and control systems, and medical diagnostic imaging systems. Worldwide annual sales of NEMA-scope products exceed $120 billion.
