ROSSLYN, Va.,—The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published NEMA PB 1 Panelboards and NEMA PB 2 Deadfront Distribution Switchboards.
The standards publication PB 1 discusses single panelboards or groups of panel units suitable for assembly in the form of single panelboards. These units are used in the distribution of electricity for light, heat, and power at 600 volts and less with 1600 ampere mains and less or 1200 ampere branch circuits and less.
PB 2 formalizes floor-mounted deadfront switchboards rated 6000 amperes or less and 600 volts or less. These units are used in the distribution of electricity for light, heat, and power.
