Merge Healthcare Incorporated announced that Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, a 600-physician healthcare system based in Elmhurst, Illinois, selected Merge Cardio™ and Merge Hemo™ for their new 259-bed hospital.
“As we were building our new facility, we wanted to make sure we had a state-of-the-art cardiovascular information system to treat patients and attract physicians,” said Charles Colander, vice president and chief information officer. “Merge’s cardiology solutions provide complete functionality with imaging, reporting, and EKG while integrating with all of our modality devices. We need that type of workflow innovation to help our cardiologists and entire cardiology department operate at maximum efficiency.”
“Merge is committed to bringing superior imaging interoperability to the market,” said Jeff Surges, Merge’s chief executive officer. “Healthcare records are not meaningful without a complete view of the patient and history. You can’t achieve that without incorporating images.”
