Please save the date for the 2012 International law Enforcement IP Crime Conference which will be co-hosted by INTERPOL and the Policía Nacional De Panamá in partnership with Underwriters Laboratories. The Conference will be held at the Westin Playa Bonita Hotel in Panamá City, Panamá on 11-13 September 2012.
The International Law Enforcement IP Crime Conference is a unique forum where delegates have the opportunity to learn about and discuss operational best practices that can be utilized to combat transnational organized IP crime. We anticipate some 500 delegates representing both the public and private sectors will attend from nearly 60 countries.
The 2012 Conference theme is "East Meets West: Working with the Americas to Combat Counterfeiting" and will include plenary sessions, operational workshops, interactive round tables and specialized IP Crime learning sessions. It will also feature one-to-one networking sessions when delegates can discuss operational matters with representatives of investigative agencies and other entities.
The introduction of a networking lounge is anticipated this year. The lounge will offer law enforcement agencies the opportunity to set up information tables and to meet one-on-one with other delegates to discuss operational concerns and seek specialist advice which will provide added value for all attendees. The lounge will be open for the entire Conference and invitees are encouraged to take advantage of this special opportunity. This year there will also be increased opportunities for law enforcement to receive product identification training from rights holders as well as more networking time allocated to meet with sponsors, IP crime service providers and experts to learn about the latest brand protection strategies and solutions.
Registration will open for the Conference in March and all updates can be found via www.iipcic.org.
