What is Camera Ready Art?

“Camera-ready” is a common term used in the commercial printing industry meaning that a document is, from a technical standpoint, ready to go to press (be printed).

For the product showcase, your art department may prepare camera-ready ads. If so, give them these specifications:

Free ad (⅛ page):

  • 3.5w x 2h format in CYMK (process color—not RGB)
  • Either high resolution pdf file with crop marks and registration marks or 300 dpi jpg
  • You must use a horizontal format, not a vertical format.

Premium ad (¼ page)

  • 3.75w x 4.25h format in CYMK (process color—not RGB)
  • Either high resolution pdf file with crop marks and registration marks or 300 dpi jpg
  • You must use a horizontal format, not a vertical format.

If you do not have an art department, do not assume that your ad is camera ready.

You should submit text and art, and we will design the ad for you.
